How to find a franchise? Where do you start and what should I be looking for?

Myself and another franchise expert are doing a discussion on how to find a franchise. Please participate, you are welcome to join, watch and ask questions. Continue to conversation in RP and I will ba happy to follow up. I was in the Army and got out so i know many active duty who have questions and want to do things on thier own so this is for them. Guys who have gotten out; this is for you too. The other expert has been in franchise development for years with brands you see every day. I would look at the popularity of the brand, projected net income, investment amount, the culture of the corporation and the franchises, and the transparency of the relationship with corporate.
