How can I get an airborne contract if I don’t have one yet?

How easy is it to get a airborne contract if you don’t have one yet? How do you get one?

When you return to the MEPS to ship out ask if you can have airborne added to your contract

When you go to BCT and AIT ask for one. Sometimes they can get you one. Depends on your cadre team and if they want to do the work.

If you haven't shipped for basic yet, tell your recruiter younwant to renegotiate your contract to have Airborne School added, if you are medically qualifed.
If your receuiter refuses, don't ship. You are notnobligated until you take the second oath at MEPS.
If you are already in and at your first duty station you can submit a DA 4187 requesting to go. No guarantee though.

Talk to your C.O. tell him about what your plans and if can put a request for you I don't know if it still work that way anymore , but it did when I was in the Army in 1976, but if it still does go for it and if it doesn't requested during re-up time, good luck PFC.
