During airborne school the ranger recruiter came by looking for volunteers.I signed up because some time during basic i decided I wanted to be a ranger but my ds told me it wouldnt be possible because my mos isnt accepted(13J).I was so glad the recruiter changed my orders to go to rasp and told me that the regiment would reclass me because I knew it might be my only chance to ever be a ranger.Well cut 2 months later and i failed the retest pt test during rasp(50 pushups).So i got dropped and sent ocunus.Now im in an mos that is constantly under strength and have a deros date that prevents me from leaving.What is my best option to get back if the ranger regiment would even give me another chance.

Reclassing fresh out of basic may have been an option they had but after going to your first duty station, not so sure. You need to talk to the Regiment Recruiters for the answers, you won’t find the answers you seek on here. RASP is scheduled through them, not your unit or anyone else. Best of luck man!

Talk to retention NCO and drop a RASP packet, needs of the army are second to spec ops.
