How will getting pregnant impact someone who is in the direct accessions program for CID?

My wife is in the direct accessions program for CID and she’s been at her unit for about 2 months. She just found out that she is pregnant. Obviously it affects her CIDSAC date but will they just push back her date or will they just kick her back to an MP line unit since she can’t go to her school date?

Your spouse can't attend training in a pregnancy status and the new rules say new mothers will be stabilized 12 months. It's unlikely that a detachment will be willing to hold onto her for 18-21 months, and it's unlikely that her unit that attached her will be willing to leave her attached while she in on their books

Yes she’s graduated MP osut and is at the CID detachment now as an investigator while she’s waiting to go to CIDSAC.

PFC (Join to see) they will have to release her as an IET failure and send her to an MP unit. She'll be eligible to reapply to CID later

SFC (Join to see) - Jason, I'm pretty sure she is in the 6 month OJT time before her CID class date. If she is already a 31B, I'm pretty sure the CID Detachment could let her OJT. It's not like CID goes out and kicks in doors. I could all come down to what the SAIC, Detachment CDR and 1SG decide.

SGM Steve Wettstein I think it comes down to USAREC provided the class date, so that makes her an IET pipeline Soldier. If she was a normal CID reclass the unit she was assigned to and the unit she was attached to could come to an agreement and the Career Counselor would request a new training date for her. But if her MOS was promised in her contract there is a limited amount of time she is allowed to be in an IET pipeline and Career Counselors aren't authorized to request class dates for IET Soldiers. Once she gets reported as an ATRRS cancelation with IET branch they'll want her off their books and into a ln MOSq slot. The local MP unit might even just let her stay there to OJT. But she'll have to reapply to CID and get a new acceptance letter to get a new class date

If she can get a release from her parent unit, they could have her working in the CID office. I was the detachment sergeant in the CID office but that 27 years ago and pre-agents, like your wife were known PPZs (Pre-Probationary Zits). I was one from 1/78-3/78. I worked out if the Fort Eustis CID Office.

She is already with the detachment now. That’s where she was assigned to out of the gate.

She will most likely remain there until after the birth of the baby. She doesn’t want to be at the schoolhouse at Fort Leonard Wood for the birth of the baby.
