How does transferring my GI bill to my child work if I am going back into the service? If I only use a few months of it, is it even still transferable? How long is the minimum to serve in order to transfer? I would love to know. Thanks!

Use your CAC to log into MILCONNECT, click on the button for transfer education benefits. You have 36 months total minus any you used, you give each dependent how many months you want. You go see your Career Counselor to meet the service remaining requirement which is four years from the date of transfer, six for reservists

As far as I know you have to have accumulated totalof 10 years of active duty service, unless the regulations have changed.
