The recruiting struggles continue across all branches. What is causing it and how should it be addressed?

The military leaders need to grow so balls. Stop DIE promotions just because they are in the DIE area. Promote the top score candidates instead of promoting by DIE standards.

Bring back the draft, and also include women.

We may have to take recruits on a 'conditional" basis. If we can get them into shape, mentally and physically, then they might be able to earn their way into the armed forces. But a lot of these poor folks have been conditioned to believe they are entitled to get whatever they want without having to earn it. I'm not sure how to "de-program" them to cure that enormous misconception.

Reinstate a draft of both men and women, require a minimum 2 years of national service in some capacity. Then have specialized training platoons, like we had when I trained, for those who need the extra training and discipline. Along with that make it very difficult to get out before your commitment is up and then you get a less than honorable discharge. No student loans available to those with dishonorable discharge. Quit coddling and with the above incentives, there will be some attitude changes taking place. When there was a draft, many enlisted to have choices that were unavailable to the draftee.

I don't think the draft will work. Some people are just not cut out for the military for any number of reasons. Those people will never be real assets. It will waste the military's resources and the conscript's time. The draft may have made a lot of sense when we needed cannon fodder. An awful lot of military jobs require special and technical training. A lot of people just aren't competent for that. Will we draft all these people, and then spend the first year teaching them to read and count?

The military recruiting issues will be resolved when we elect a strong military supporter as President of the United States. Re-elect President Trump ! As it stands right now, we have no Commander in Chief. President Trump , after surviving an assassination attempt, is more determined than ever to lead all branches of our military back to being the finest in the world.

Turn it back into whatvis supposed to be; an effective fighting force instead of an social experement in changing societal norms and indoctrinating young people into lifestyles that they do not initially feel. Stop the persecution of traditional "anything" and forcing any new fad or perversion that some libtard think tank feel is worth exploration!

The Truth Hurts: It has to start from the top ie Congress and the Generals/Admirals, Liberalism is a mental disorder with that being said the military is not a social play ground and or experiment we are or should be a lean mean fighting machine that kills and destroys things, this “ wokeism” has no room in the branches. I see too many service personnel on Tik Tok, Face Book, and other social media sites looking too cute, too pretty how do you have time for this crap posting during working hours? Get back to basics get back to the standards and enforce them NCO’s need to do their jobs, Officers need to do theirs, it’s a new numbers game that’s all it’s ever been the numbers look good but moral sucks cause the standards have been lowered.

Close combat arms to females, get rid of ALL the DEI type briefings as well as SHARP and all the other nonsense. Focus on training to put steel on target, the actual purpose of the armed forces. That alone will increase recruitment significantly.

Take in almost anyone like the French foreign yet better build and 90 day program. Teach them the basic. Reading writing math history the constitution geography and NO politics. Or political appointee. Give them self esteem. Use the known true methods (DS used) 1960s. Thats a start. purpose and direction Invest in them. And u may have less finishing that prep course than u would like. but it’s a win win before u buy u get to try. Pay them decent pay. Then match that when they graduate. All just ideas. NO F***ing Politics PIRIOD……

Has a 100% combat disabled debt who went back and finished his tour after recuperating from several life-threatening injuries. And most critical and important thing to me was my faith and trust in God, the God of my father's and my country that proclaimed in God we trust. The country that did not offend God by promoting things that offended him. Also the god of my family andand mother. Also having a godfaring president who would not go back on his word like Biden did when he said he would not make an mandatory for the military to get the COVID-19 shot while he was campaigning and then turning around and doing exactly that. Showing that he did not trust or extend to them the freedom to choose. Even in regards to their own health.
