Think that you are immune to being put on the terrorist watch list, think again.
Anyone can potentially end up on the watch list.

1. Post something that raises "reasonable suspicion".
2. Someone could report you "think you are a terrorist"
3. Be "a little terrorist-ish" according to someone.
4. By association
5. Be in a "category" determined to be threat
6. You could just be unlucky.

About one or two years after 911, I was writing a historical short story about a spys and an anarchist group in the 1890s. I ended up needing something that would explode when mixed with water and some sort of poison that could be made from something simple that existed at the time. I found both, won't mention what they were. But I knew for sure my research into both may have put me on someone's track list. I hope whoever was watching my internet activity liked the story when I posted it.

CPT (Join to see) I think this is very interesting and it for me it goes back to common sense. If you don't wanted to be added to one of these lists then make sure your comments are always professional and you don't have anything to worry about - pretty simple process in my mind. Just an opinion from an old soldier!

Ma'm you know it's kinda funny you mention this. After listening to some of the comments online, on TV, and in the campaigns for President, I feel that MANY of us even here on RP would "fit the stereotype" for someone who would wind up on a watch list or commit "terrorism". I was reading a regulation on what to do with shooters in the workplace, and some of the signs of trouble that were used, and some of the descriptions used would hit damn near ANY vet, and it's made worse if you are of darker skin, with beard, aren't a loud and thunderous Christian, and if you've traveled to or are from a foreign country. After reading this manual, I actually went home and shaved my beard off. I had to explain it when I came into work and I said the description in these manuals would put me and those like me in a very compromising situation. I'm a vet, don't wear my religious views on my sleeve, am open minded to a lot of things, have(had) a beard, know some people of the Islamic faith (that are VERY GOOD AMERICANS). I own weapons, I enjoy shooting at the range, and think working class American's are getting the short end of a very long stick when it comes to being treated and cared for, and how we're becoming more divided and allowing ignorant hate speech to come into our minds and take root. So now, I'm going to try to "blend in" and fit in with the crowd. I'll shave, learn how to play poker, listen to more country/classical/jazz music (less rap, rock, pop, or anything offensive), hate anything or anyone that doesn't have the exact same mindset as me, and the bad part of this is I nor any other vet (or American) should feel like this. Like we're singled out in a crowd for being who and what we are. It's so like we want to "describe the perfect terrorist", and the problem is we're describing our own people, and there is no "perfect" definition of a terrorist.

Interesting. I just finished reading that at least 72 Dept. of Homeland Security agents are on the terrorist watch list. As I have posted before the real problem with the lists is that they are very inaccurate.

I am a rajin-injun (No insult meant to my Native American brothers and sisters) so I know they watch me. Tuscarora Onondago Cherokee mixed. I think 1/4 maybe Italian due to the lasagna, spaghetti and pizza I love.
