But on a new note will be going back home to Kentucky next month foe whitetail season. Am excited always a great time and always do very well.
Want to hear from anyone that hunts. I am huge into it and it is my passion. Good luck and bust a big one!

Watched two bucks (6pt & 8pt) locking horns in the field behind my house yesterday evening. Watched until I could only see the silhouetttes. Listened to them rattle their "racks" with each other for about 30 min... pretty cool. Very excited to hunt here in PA...

That is awesome. A few years back I watched two bulls go at it. Never seen it before in the wild. Very cool experience to witness that. Glad you enjoyed seeing that. Hope your season in PA goes great. Heard it is awesome there. Good luck!

I was really cool. It's something you see on T.V. but rarely (if ever) get to experience in person. I've always wanted to hunt in Ky. Have a buddy that lives in Henderson. I hear tell you can hunt w/ a semi-auto there... Any truth to that?

Got a few big rabbits with my Martin Jaguar recurve but haven't been able to find a good spot to deer hunt on. We have a ton of hunters and public hunting land is swamped with them. I won't even go in the woods on a weekend day. My brother and I were hunting from blinds on a Saturday when a group of seven young men ( ages 16 through 22) decided to "test their rifles by shooting up the hollow we were in. My brother and I could hear and see bullets zipping by and kicking up dirt around us. I had already hit the ground putting the big logs between me and them. My younger brother quickly followed suit. Once the firing quit, I yelled we give up don't shoot anymore ok? They yelled ok and we walked up the ridge to them. They were white faced and sputtering apologies. I said you guys do know this is public hunting land and deer season is open right? They said yes. I strongly suggested they take a hunters safety course before returning and shook my head. My brother and I walked to our vehicle and left. I will only hunt public land now during the week when most hunters are at work.

Wow that is crazy. I would have been fired up. I think you handled it way better then I would have. Glad you all are alright. Could have easly been really bad. I hear you on the to many hunters on public land. It is really bad here in Colorado. The weekends are no joke. I tend to stick with the week days myself. I just tey to take pass or a little leave. Let everyone work during the week so it is not so crowded. Good luck on find a good place for deer hunting. GA has great white tail hunting. I am sure if you stay looking you will find a awesome place. Maybe ask land owners. I do. And if they say no well isn't like I had the access before I asked anyways. I am sure you already know that. I miss the south cause people are alot nicer there. Up here in HippyVille, CO no one will give permission to hunt. I know back home in KY 9 times out of 10 they will. Worth a try boss. Really wish you the best and stay after. I would really like to see a post later from you with a big monster down! Thanks for the reply

SFC (Join to see) - Believe me it was all I could do not to slap the crap out of them. I actually found a good place on private land today. My first cousin lives out in the country. She has about 18 acres of wooded area. She told me if I would share the meat and teach her to shoot a bow I could hunt it. After looking the area over ( Found plenty of tracks, bedding areas, and saw about six or seven rubs. Didn't see any scrapes though.) I talked with her and told her she had neighbors well within rifle range all around her. I am going to hunt it, but it will be with a bow and/or shotgun. There is plenty of woods between her and her neighbors but they are still well within rifle range. Hopefully the good Lord will bless me with one or two. May he bless your season as well.
