You may have a choice between an ASI course for some points and that skill identifier or some college courses for points. All of those badge and tab courses including Drill Sergeant school have a lot of prerequisites. A nine week school could be a year of prep.

I recommend something that equates to civilian life. 8yrs in field artillery. . . .

Today I’d recommend something in technology. Cybersecurity is a good field and has an ever expanding civilian field. Data technology is another.

I was a Tanker Without A Tank (TWAT) once. What a shit show. Standing up a new company, starting with me, the CO, the guidon, and the former aid station as our CP, less than a year before deployment, and we weren’t getting tanks till we got back. Needless to say, no time for schools!

I was an 11C - Indirect Fire Infantryman for many, many years. On one of my assignments at then Ft Bragg was the 3rd BN (ABN), 73 Armor. There I met SFC Tew during gunnery support in 1995. He had been one of the plank holders at either 1st Ranger BN or 2nd. I can’t recall. He was a 19K4VF7 or Airborne Ranger and Pathfinder qualified. He inspired me to put in for Pathfinder School.

The reason I’m telling you this brother, is because the skies the limit! The world is your oyster. Find out what shape you need to be in and get the requisite manuals and go for it! Whether it is college, some personal qualifications, or leadership and tactical schooling schools find the fire that made you enlist and strive to be the best that you can. You have been given an awesome opportunity for self-improvement. Suck the marrow out and do something legendary!

It just so happens that the 82nd Airborne is bringing back armor to its ranks. If you do go to jump school, then maybe you'll end up at Fort Bragg. Yes, I said it Fort Bragg. They are no longer going to use the 19 deltas. They are going back to 19 kilos. Whatever you decide, good luck. As far as Rangers, school goes goes from what I hear from guys that went is physical.
strenuously, strenuously, mental and if you know how to do land nav. And patrolling, then you can pretty much make it through it. Most of the people get dropped for injuries. If that's what you want to do, then do it. Don't let these other people talk you out of it.

Look at starting leadership courses. That will be an asset to your military carreer. Also you could take an NBC Course and become your units NBC NCO. that will also lead to more opportuities for advancement. Also as another person said, start your college courses. Take every test you can take to get college credit. A firend of mine took all the courses, and then took classes and recieved his bachelor's degree. He retired as a CWO-4. Get an education and give yourself the opportunity for advancement.

Doesn't the Army have "career advisors"? Do you plan on a career? Surely you have a training NCO to guide you.... Good luck!
