I am ISTing From CA to AZ. I am #4 on the EPS list in CA. How do I increase my odds for a speedy promotion in AZ?

I'm in the ARNG, and I took a mil-tech job in AZ. So the wheels are already in motion.

That may throw another wrench in the wo path, if your tech then you position needs to be fillable by a wo or you will need to find a wo tech position. I'd stay tech path and do your year in AZ, work on boosting promotion points over the next year and you can be high on the list next year. I was 3rd in the State my first time going for 6, it's doable. Message me if you need any help/pointers for points. Best of luck

CW3 (Join to see) - That is right, you cannot out rank your supervisor on the tech side.

When you show up at the unit, keep your eyes open and do a good job. Watch for vacancies within your MOS, or other MOSs you may be eligible to obtain. If they advertise a position through EPS and their are no qualified applicants for the position, you may be able to be nominated for a no-name-fill.
