We collect donated equipment, scrap metal, vehicles, any items to help veterans or to raise money to help veterans. For example; In September a like new power chair was donated to our chapter. Two months ago we heard of a Korean War Veteran in Lima that had been turned down by Medicare and the VA for a power chair, he "did not Qualify". His situation fell between the cracks. He can walk.... He needs new lungs... on Oxen all the time he can not get around very far because he becomes exhausted. We put batteries in the chair and loaned this veteran a like new chair (worth @ $5,000), as a result he donated several hundred dollars to our chapter. We took the chair to him in a 2000 Dodge Van that was donated to us in December. We have two more Vans Sponsored and or donated by our chapter providing transportation to veterans every month, this transportation is not eligible for VA assistance, "IT FALLS BETWEEN THE CRACKS" More equipment passes through Chapter 3 every Month, and I would like to not spend money storing this equipment.

I have helped other veterans and Police officers that have been wounded in the past, some with furniture and others with advice.
