Are you trying to download something from the Apple or Google Play store?
It's not inappropriate. Just use more applicable tags so the right people see.

SA Jim Arnold - Furthermore, Google play is connected to your phone via the internet. It doesn't matter where you put that phone. Google will send that install to your phone or put it in a queue until the phone receives internet again.

SA Jim Arnold - The stuff you're trying to get from Google Play is only ever going to work on your phone or your tablet. It will never work on any Microsoft computer. Stuff from google play is a different operating system -- Android.

SA Jim Arnold - What are you trying to download on your computer? Maybe we can help you find a download that won't add malicious software to your computer.

Google Play is for android phones and tablets and apps that you install will download to either or both devices you are logged into with that account...for an example, let's say your email address is [login to see] and you're logged into your phone and tablet with that account...now you're on your computer or any computer for that matter and you're checking your google account while logged in as [login to see] on your computer and you decide to look and see what google play has to offer...whatever games, apps or movie you install will be installed on your devices, other than your computer, that you are logged into...i.e, your phone, your tablet or any of your other android devices...if you want apps on your laptop, you will more than likely have to go to the Microsoft apps store and download those types of apps to your laptop...your laptop's operation system is windows and your phone/table is android...their apps come from different stores...I hope that makes sense and helps out a lil...sorry if confusing....

Thank you sweetheart. As it turns out, I actually did download thru microsoft. I also realized that the apps within microsoft are pretty lame compared to the google play store. Maybe I just didn't look far enough thru it all though.
Once I downloaded a couple things and moved them to a different location, I couldn't find them.
I'm looking to take some on-line courses. Maybe I should consider taking courses in computers...ha ha. Lord knows I could use the help.

Which media source are you using?
Like Amazon store, Android store, etc?
Depending on the "store" it may have a setting which defaults to a specific "device." As an example, I have multiple Kindles (my computer is one, my handheld is another, my phone is a third). I have to make sure to send purchases to the correct one.
