I grew up (and served) during the Cold War, like many of us. Am I wrong to be ecstatic that Trump is already tweaking China's nose?

I have spent years -- and not just the last 8, neither Bush nor Clinton stood up much to foreign regimes -- wishing the government would stop pandering to hostile governments. Now, Trump is already showing signs of exactly that. That phone call to the Taiwanese President most surely enraged Beijing. Is this a good or bad thing in your view, RP'rs?

Agreed, Captain. But when you've refrained from using that feather for so long that the Dragon thinks it's ok to start stealing land in contravention to international law, I think it's time to forego that feather and demonstrate that we have better ticklers.

It doesn't make much difference man. Between the two, quite a but of our technology is built there, and Trump can very well go over there rattle some feathers, think he did something, and the highlight of his day is to tweet "she called me". This isn't high school bruh. Note you "nemesis" didn't call you but sent a wire telegram to you.
