I have a GOMOR in my OMPF from a DUI. Can I get it removed through DASEB?

It's been 5 years since it occured and I've done great things since. I've won battalion and brigade level boards, 290+ pt score, Gained college experience,Served in leadership roles and excelled, commandant list ALC, just to name a few. I havnt given up over the years. Ive had Too many people tell me that I'll never see SFC and at first it brought me down alot, however, now I'm used to it and I'm just trying to do what I can to stand out , be a good leader, and push forward in Hope's I can put a senior non commissioned officer rank on my chest.
That's just a little background. Currently, I've been looking into the regulation and daseb. Aside from submitting a request to have the deragotory information moved to restricted, j also want to make sure I dont overlook or miss anything but s there anything else I can and should do to increase the chances of success ?
Edit: this happened as a SGT and have promoted since.

When you made the conscious decision to drink and drive, you knowingly threw your career in the trash. I have yet to hear of DASEB moving GOMOR’s to anyone’s restricted file specifically in relation to DUI’s. No grace of god will help you nor any achievement you earn. It sucks, but it’s honestly your fault for committing the offense in the first place.

Sgt Andrew Dickhoff I'm going to school you a little bit young SGT. You probably haven't heard about it being removed because you haven't been in long enough to know NCO's who have been through it. Yes he made a crucial mistake in his military career and its a learning experience. He asked for advice and usually things of this matter come through the Senior ranks who have gone through the process or helped other NCO's for this very occasion. I'm living proof you can overcome, IF you know the right resources that are out there and pointed in the right direction.

I’ve been in for 6 years and have individuals who have been through the same situation who made an appeal, guess what, it got denied. SFC (Join to see)

Six huh, ahh ok.
The things you must have seen in those 6 long years....as a lower enlisted SM,,,,having limited visibility of personal actions beyond your very small world as a junior enlisted SM.
There is no good excuse for a DUI.
As there is no good excuse for how you responded to his request for help.
The good news is, Id bet the senior leaders in your unit see that trait in you as well.
