I have been looking into going into Civil Affairs, what are your opinions on CA?

I worked with many a CA troop during my career. They have a very unique job of interacting with the local population and doing a lot of behind the scenes work. If you want to shift away from the traditional military career and focus on relationships, propaganda, less tangible types of outcomes, then this is for you. If you're a die-hard warrior who wants to destroy the infidels, then maybe you shouldn't consider this career change. We definitely need both in the military!
