I am currently in the Utah National Guard but I want to go active duty air force. Is it even possible for me to transfer in any way? I have high ASVAB scores if that would help at all.

Talk to an Air Force recruiter about enlisting for OTC (their OCS), your other choice would be to do Air Force ROTC while you work on your masters. IF you enlist for OTS you will need to have a DD 368 signed by your recruiter and staffed through your chain up to the State G1 to get a conditional release to join another service. You will drill with the guard until your orders come up for the other service.

If you do ROTC, they basically do all the work for you.

Good Luck

Yeah I think ROTC is going to be the most beneficial. I'll have to talk to a recruiter about it. Thank you for your feedback sir

Just do a google search for schools with airforce ROTC you would be interested and contact their program. I agree ROTC will probably be your best move.

Talk to an Active Duty Air Force recruiter. Explain your current situation with the Guard and your desire to commission in the Air Force. Depending on your degree, some career fields may not be available and others might be actively recruiting for officers immediately. If you haven't completed your enlistment contract with the Guard, the Air Force may be willing to work with the Guard to help you resign early.

I have no expertise in this matter, but I am quite certain the ARNG will release you to any commissioning source. I believe you may need to get an approved dd-368 (conditional release), but again I am unfamiliar with rules regarding commissioning. What you want to do is certainly very realistic.
