I leave for OSUT in a week, I'm not very physically fit but my recruiter told me not to worry. I passed the OPAT, but I don't want to fail?

Start preparing NOW!
DROP - push - back straight? - do it all over again. Are you in the world? - Go run as fast and far as you can! OK? Do it over and get in bed. Repeat tomorow andevery day/nite until you ship!
Keep a zipper on your mouth!
Do the all of above and you will do well!
Best wishes!

They will help you get fit, or send you home. I suggest you work at it every chance you get.

There were plenty of out of shape guys in my 19D OSUT class. Don't worry, you'll get there.

Justin Mitchell - no prob, man. Here's the thing: restrict what you eat during training to the stuff that is going to help you get in better shape (if need be you can ask you Drill Sergeants; they will be more than happy to help you even if it seems like they are being mean), take it upon yourself to give it your all during PT in the mornings (don't give up; even when you hit muscle failure you can keep trying and keep getting that one more push up), you can also take advantage of "free-time" to workout (you will have time where the PLT is going to do things like barracks maintenance, or slow Sunday's for religious services; these days can give you valuable time to work on your fitness), and, if you are really feeling ballsy or really want to get in shape, you can specifically ask the drills to provide you with extra PT (this is drastic but I have yet to hear of a DS that wouldn't provide extra "motivation" and time to focus on PT).

For sure, I really can't do much before I go, but I was told by someone to not stop, just keep moving.
