I’m an 11B and a few days ago I reclassed to 15R. Anybody have any experience with this MOS? What is the aviation/15R life like?

It’s has pretty long hours and if u get a good group to work with you should be fine. But be prepared to work the weekends some times

I’m at Carson and we go to the field pretty rarely. In the year and a half I’ve been here, we’ve had two 8-10 Day field problems and one NTC rotation. PT varies honestly. If you’re put in a line company you’ll probably rarely do PT. Some stations do PT religiously by the book. Work hours also vary. I’m in Delta so we PT every day but nothing too crazy. We get 1130-1300 lunches and rarely leave later than 1730.

Depends. Super lax here at carson. Work tempo isn’t crazy, only when a bunch of maintence drops at once.

The environment just wasn’t for me. It’s really uptempo and I’m not that type of guy. I’m really calm and laid back lol the recruiters got my ass though

Ah, I see. I’m asked coz I’m trying to reclass to 11B. Can you tell me what your day to day was like as an 11B, if you don’t mind.
