I'm NG & was notified I'd be deploying in about 4 wks. Trying to put my mother in assisted living home but need more time. Should I ask? How?

Does anyone else think that a 4 week pre deployment notification is too short ?
I was Air Guard and I was always given a lot more notice than that, unless it was voluntary.

I was on Rear D for the BN deployment prior to last week then got the notification. I knew about the deployment not that I was on the DMD until Wednesday. But, yeah this is an unusual circumstance and I imagine it's due to some poor readiness.
Thing is I've been with the HHC since August, then notified Wednesday I'll be going with a subordinate CO which indicates to me I'm not going in my MOS. Not unhappy but that does sort of indicate where this unit's at in readiness.
