Never...no...never go to the DAV fior any assistance. Total waste of your time. Every state has a veterans service officer (A free a service) to help with your claim. AMVETS is also very good (They were great assistance to me unlike DAV which said they would check on my claim...if and only IF they walked across the hall that day and checked. ) If it has been some time and you have not heard from the V. A. Write your U.S. Representative and ask for his assistance. Guaranteed after the V.A. receives a letter from him you will hear back from the V.A. Not sure what your claim is....but....hang in there....never back down....in the end...if there is merit to your claim....you will win.....Good luck!
