Well known and recognized unit. I was with 3rd brigade in Jalalabad, Afghanistan in 2011.
Definitely hard fighters. Be proud!

My Son was C/3/21 INFANTRY out of Alaska. He was Strikers and deployed to Kandahar while I was in JALALABAD! VERY WELL TRAINED AND HARD FIGHTERS!

I'm from Hawaii and I always wanted to get stationed there but never did. Insert sad face. Just be wary there are lots of bad places to get in trouble on Oahu. Watch out for the mahu's. I met one guy from the 25th whose unit deployed to Africa (of all places) for some training exercise. There is also a Reserve Infantry Unit the 442nd. the only unit that hasn't been converted to a National Guard unit but I hear that is going to change. Also Oahu is great place for diving if your into that sort of thing.

In the 70's I was told that there is a place where they train, it's called, "Mosquito AO".

I was 3rd Brigade. F quad(Spc Hall). Great unit and hard chargers. Loved the terrain. East Range is a rain forest, enjoy. Lol. I hope you enjoy it, Brother!
