Never brewed myself, but have always enjoyed sampling! Having said that, I recently read of a microbrewery (wish I could remember where) that was putting out a coffee flavored beer. Now THAT I would definitely try! Anyone want to try to brew a batch and send me a sample?! :)

1SG (Join to see) , unfortunately, the paying job got in the way of fun again, so won't be able to attend this year. I DO appreciate the offer though! We'll be traveling at the end of the month over Labor Day weekend, I'll find some on the trip! Enjoy RPx, and have one for me!

Coffee flavored beer, now that is intriguing. However, since I do not drink alcohol, and I am sure there is not a non-alcoholic version i will simply have to get my coffee the old fashioned way

Thanks gentlemen for sharing.

This Southern Prohibition brewery in Hattiesburg is awesome. You gotta come to the Keg & Barrel on Hardy St. and sample some of their brew.

LCpl Steve Wininger you should try nitro infused cold brew coffee. You get the creamy head of a good stout from the nitrogen but no alcohol.

I brew as well am likely my next one is going to be an experiment. I want to brew a chocolate porter and "dry hop" with hot peppers in the secondary. Just trying to figure out the right amount to use so that it is not overly spicy. I tried one recently that was along the same lines and it was almost too spicy to even enjoy. That one was the Dragons Milk reserve with toasted chilies

I might have to try your recipe for you then. I might switch to chipotles in the primary though.

PO1 (Join to see) - I know this was posted two years ago, but I'm getting my program back up and running as I home brew and make wine. I'm looking at making a Honey Brown Ale. The wife wanted something with honey in it so I figure in order to maximize my ability to home brew I need to keep her happy and enjoying it. I also want to make a Belgian Tripel and Smoked Porter. It's going to be a fun summer.

Let me know how that turns out PO1 (Join to see) . You do extract or all grain? I eventually want to do all-grain brewing but it is time consuming - but more rewarding I would think...

Me and my wife went in and do both wine and beer so we are both happy. All grain is my next step as well because I want more control over the malt flavors and specialty grains.
