I've asked if members share RP threads externally but I wonder - should there be a section on a thread stating if its been shared externally?

SSG Carlos Madden - SGT (Join to see) may have a great idea here. Something at least talking to the dev team about.

Most the community seems against using those pretty Share buttons. Right now, some type of tracker seems to be a justified. Maybe in a few short years people will be searching Rallypoint threads from the DuckDuckGo !bang.

We've been working on this behind the scenes testing different things. For example, you may have noticed some subtle changes to the various share buttons, like 'Share to Facebook,' on mobile.

There should be an acknowledgment that the thread has been shared externally, SGT (Join to see).

I'm in the camp of what happens in RP, stays in RP. Sharing externally can subject members to unwanted trolling. If you want to share stuff, do it separately on FB, Twitwhatever, etc. but keep the MIL stuff within the MIL family.

I've shared a few threads within blogs because some of them are very informative. But I understand your opinion. Keep in mind, RP threads are public and easy to find via search engine.
