I was a mechanic in the Army. I switched to Infantry. Does that mean I’m not allowed to wear my Ordnance Corps crest along with my new unit?

Correct, you're no longer allowed to wear the crest.
AR 670-1, 21-24 a.
Insignia used to represent regimental affiliation consists of either the RDI or DUI of a design
approved by TIOH. A Soldier’s Regimental affiliation using an RDI is based on a Soldier’s branch/corps/special
branch, as determined by PMOS or specialty. Soldiers may wear the RDI for their affiliated regiment or they may be
approved to wear the DUI for a unit in which they are serving or previously served successfully.
21-23 also says the same thing, but 21-24 is a bit clearer.

Roger Sergeant, I'll keep that up in mind. Outdated pubs get people in trouble all the time! Good info though

I would say that you COULD (...previously served successfully), but do not think you should. I would adopt the RDI for you infantry regiment you are assigned to. I am an Ordnance Officer, that became Logistics Corps (retained Ordnance RDI), that subsequently served in the 506th Infantry Regiment (4BCT 101st). I submitted a 4187 to change it to 506th under the authority of 19-23.

You will wear the crest of the branch you are in, not what was in the past. Do you really want to draw attention from the 1SG/CSM? If you aren't proud of your current MOS, then leave!
