If a 38B already has at least a 2/2 DLPT in a immediate investment or emerging language, are they still retrained into another language?

If you are talking about Active Duty CA, you will be sent to advanced language training at SWC for your current language if it’s one of the core languages taught there.

Depends on operational need. Each CA unit has a geographical alignment, so they may well train you in something else... which isn't a bad thing, by the way.

Where can I find unit geographical alignment? My languages are Hindi and Urdu. It would benefit me to study Punjabi or Baluchi if they want to keep me aligned to that region.

Absolutely, the course at bragg can't teach you to be better than a 2, so we can't teach native speakers to be better, so we give them another language to cover more ground. Spanish speakers typically get Portuguese, French get Arabic, etc... they try to coincide with which BN you will go to.

Will they send me to DLI if they don’t offer a language as SWC that is in my regional alignment? My languages are Hindi and Urdu, so I’m thinking I might get Punjabi or Baluchi. Possibly even Sindhi.

SPC (Join to see) no. Dli is a pcs move. With those languages already in your toolbox you likely get Farsi.

So when I went through, my CLANG at the Q course was Arabic. But somewhere along the ways, right before the course started, they said "if anyone would like to change their CLANG and believes they can score over a 2 in said language, speak up now".... So that's how I went from Arabic to Spanish. Best decision ever. SOCSOUTH is the nuts.

I don’t think there is much chance of me going to SOCSOUTH as my languages are Hindi and Urdu. I’m thinking I will get Punjabi or Baluchi at the school house.
