Good Question . And i have No absolute answer . But like every one i have an opinion . No not till they have become infantry and met the requirements as an infantryman . But they can wear their CAB .

Why is it that a PFC calls someone with a CAB a POG? Combat Arms personnel are awarded the CAB because many of us fought as provisional Infantry. Ask that question again when you have been in the Army a while longer than AIT.

I am with you LTC Sossaman . at that time of my service i was army and a 13F but lead night patrols out side the wire 2 to 3 times a night where taking incoming pot shots was common and my men and myself earned them and i made sure as did my Co CDR they got them .
