If accompanying a wounded Soldier back to the US, do I lose my extra pay during that time for being out of theatre?

I was ordered to escort a soldier from a combat zone back to the states. The soldier was a medevac patient. I ended up getting stuck in the states for a month while they debated about bringing me back to theatre. Now they are trying to take pay. My question is if I was ordered for this mission do they have to take back my pay combat, fam sep etc.?
