If I want to become an officer using the Green-to-Gold program, and qualify for an ROTC scholarship, how do I go about it?

Talk to the ROTC recruiting officer at the school. They are a wealth of knowledge in this subject and could assist you.

When you enroll in Army ROTC, you'll get more than college degree and scholarships. Gain leadership skills you can apply to your career and as an Officer.

COL Charles Williams
PV2 (Join to see) - Check out the www site... and if that does not help... contact your desired or closest Army ROTC Detachment and they can help you. All ROTC units have Recruiting Operations Officers (ROO) who help prospective cadets navigate the the process.

First you need the blessing of your COC. Then you have to coordinate with a PMS of a ROTC battalion to accept into their program. Your packet is then assembled and boarded.

I believe there is a packet you have to fill out. Speak with your Retention NCO and/or your 1SG/Commander about it.

Find a school you think you want to go to. They will have to provide a letter for your GtoG application. Ask the ROTC Recruter the process and he will direct you to the Cadet Command web site and start. That fact that you know there is such an animal is great. When I applied while stationed at Bragg they didn’t know what to do. As a new buck sergeant I ended up writing all there examples to distribute to the post. 1992. Good luck.
