I'm ETS in September 2018 and my unit is deploying 9 months before my ETS date would I fall under Stop loss or could I continue with my transition procedures?

There is a MILPER out about this. In short, if your ETS falls within the first half of the deployment, you do not deploy. If your ETS falls after the midpoint of the deployment, you can deploy, but you redeploy early in order to transition out.

Thank you. I'll look it up in HHC MILPER message section. The more information the better.

Stop LOSS went away years ago...Stop MOVE is possible depending on the deployment/rotation.

Have you contacted your servicing Career Counselor? They will have the information pertaining to your situation.

Enjoy the extra pay and such before getting out. When you get back you will have a good nest egg to start out civilian life with.

I wished it was like that when I'm currently the sole supporter of 3 at home. I do my savings everything that I have deployed tho. But now the family is bigger. We'll see!

SSG(P) (Join to see) - My understanding is you are suppose to have a family care plan on file, unless things have changed since I was in. Right now I don't see the Op Tempo so high that stop lose is in effect. Most likely you will deploy, then return on time. Just my opinion.
