If someone asked what could you have done differently in your military career, what would you have chosen?

I would've enlisted earlier, become a Flying Crew Chief instead of just staying a regular Crew Chief, traveled more, and not gotten out. I miss the brotherhood.

I was asked to go to OCS when I returned from Basic Training but I came from a family of NCO's and decided to continue the tradition. I think now I should have considered being an officer.

I quit ROTC my freshman year of college, only to enlist right after I graduated. Should have stuck with ROTC.

Never left active duty--

I wanted to stay in. I had 10 1/2 years active duty and was forced out for medical reasons. I was an E-5 and half way to retirement.

I would have picked a different subspecialty. Would have stayed on active duty to retire.

It all seems like crying over spilled milk now. There is a lot that I could have done different... But I'm mostly happy where I am now. At least I'm trying to make the most of it.

I should have kept better record of awards in my early enlistment years and kept all of my coins. I also should have taken more photos with battle buddies.

i would have gone to college, and i wouldn't have reenlisted after my first contract was up
