I would have signed up to be a UAV operator (I don't know the MOS code for that) Instead of ammo. I could have had a good job working for Raytheon. On the flip side I met some of the coolest people and I still hang out with one of my buddy's from my unit, so the grass is always greener i suppose.

Drink less, focused on my career more.
My first four years I didn't want to be in. Spent the next 21 years making up for it.
Also, I would have stayed on active duty. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my time with the Guard. But I would have been better off on active duty.

Saved more of my pay, bought a smaller stereo system, drank less beer and quit smoking.

I would have pushed the Docs at the base I was at much harder to do an MRI on my injured spine quicker than it was done. The initial injury occurred January 2005, and because I wasn't showing "enough" pain, they figured an MRI was a waste of money. Fast forward to June 2008, I finally get an MRI done to show my L5-S1 disk is completely gone on my right side, and bulged 200% on my left side. When the Doc asked if previous MRIs had shown the same thing, his jaw hit the floor when I told him that was my first...
Needless to say, had I pushed harder for an MRI to be done earlier, I might still be Active Duty to this day instead of a disabled military retiree
