Really? As a Marine, I can only say, OMG! Every unit needs an 11B like this... It's our bacha bazi. Tired of getting blown by rangers? Want to feel some bitch tits? Hit up the chow hall, dog boy couldn't handle a tenth of a mile.

LCpl Matt Wetzel Would you complain if they added an extra 229 yards for each target during rilfe qual or do you just each the lower rifle score and the lower cutting score? Are you the only Marine that gets screwed out of promotion points or does your entire unit get screwed? Would telling you to shoot better resolve the leadership failure?

You can't fight the war and Nikes and Reeboks. Especially when the enemy is fighting you in flip-flops.

MSgt Danny Richardson MSgt, Is that your same advice for all the Soldiers denied promotions, improperly separated from the Army, or otherwise screwed over by the command because leadership cannot figure out how to accurately measure 2 miles?

What would setting the targets up on the rifle range at 429, 529, and 729 yards, instead of 200, 300, and 500 yards, do to your marksmanship score? Might that impact other Marines' cutting scores so they would be denied promotion? Do you think running more than two football fields extra at the end of a 2 mile run might adversely effect run times and negatively impact promotion points for every Soldier that had to run the extended 2.13 mile course?

The individual fitness of this PFC is tertiary at best. This leadership failure is screwing over every Soldier that runs that course. It is deny promotions. It is ending careers. But he is a buttercup for pointing out that the command is violating regulations and running an invalid APFT?

I’m curious, did you fail the run then decide to go measure the course? How did you come by the info that the course was a whopping.13 miles over? Personally to me it sounds like you may be the type of private today when the Sgt’s say your off duty at 1600 your griping by 1602. It’s the Army suck it up and drive on!!!

The PFC has stated he used a measuring wheel to walk the course, confirming it was 2.13 miles. 0.13 miles is 229 yards. At what point is it acceptable to fight against an excessively long APFT course? Based on the time of your last APFT, how many promotion points would you lose if you had to run more than two football fields extra at the end of your 2 mile run?

Looking back on your last promotion board, would you still have made SGT if those promotion points were missing from your final tally? If so, how much farther down the PPRL would you be and what delay would that cause? How much money would you lose waiting those extra months for your promotion and E5 pay? Now multiple that times all the E4s in your unit. That might give you a little glimpse at how bad the command is screwing over every Soldier that has to run that extended 2.13 mile course

As you posted 6 months ago you are a "first termer" and as a PFC you should by no means be failing an APFT. .13 miles is not going to make a difference step your game up run more and get over it i know majors and LTC that run the 2mile in under 15 mins, let that sink in for a moment quit complaining and just run

SSG (Join to see) SGT, you need to do some math to see what a difference 0.13 mile does make.

That might give you a slight glimpse at how bad his command is screwing over every Soldier that has to run that extended 2.13 mile course.

This is clearly a leadership failure that impacts *all* Soldiers in that unit. Getting the PFC to improve his personal fitness would do nothing to address the leadership failure and Soldiers would continue to be screwed over. Promotions are being denied and careers are being ruined. How would a PFC running faster fix that?

I think that you should definently stick with the standard 2 mile. Sure some people won't pass it right away, but over time I know they will. As long as they keep in shape and put forth the effort. That's all I have to say about it.

I never agreed with the standards for the run. All it took into account was age and gender and there are plenty of other physical factors that influence a person's run time.
