If you are or have been a USAA policyholder, how would you rate your experience?

I have used USAA since 1998 for banking, investing, property/auto insurance (they don't offer MC insurance), mortgage and car buying. I really like their car buying process and highly recommend that anyone use it.
I found better life insurance through the Army/Air Force Mutual Aid Association. I took the AAFMA policy to USAA to make sure it was legit and they vouched for it but couldn't beat their price especially for my wife and kids.

SFC (Join to see), I've used USAA for auto, home, umbrella and personal articles insurance since I was commissioned in 1973. I used to check other insurance companies for pricing, but USAA's service is so good I haven't "shopped" them in over twenty years. For property and casualty insurance, there's none any better. I've never used their other services so I can't speak about them. Their customer service teams are excellent and I've NEVER had any issues with claim payments.

Thanks for your feedback, LTC Stephen C.. I have only heard good stories so far, both on here and in person.

Not just insurance. Banking and investment too. I feel great pity for civilians who have to use BofA, Wells Fargo, Chase, etc. I must use them for business banking (USAA doesn't support this) and those are all terrible experiences. USAA lives by their motto, "We know what it means to serve". Let me tell you a story... The IRS or US Postal lost a check. When I called the IRS to find why they hadn't deposited it, they advised me to stop payment and send another. I called USAA. On their own suggestion, they stopped payment on my personal check, cut a bank check and sent it FedX to the IRS - ALL AT NO CHARGE. Now, I wouldn't say that you can expect that same treatment (I wouldn't want to commit them to it) Let's just say "I caught them on a good day" As for insurance, when telemarketers call, I just say, "I have USAA" and they hang up. They know they can't get past the customer loyalty
