If you could get rid of one regulation, standard, policy, or procedure, what would it be?

-10 level vehicle maintenance, now hear me out. I was a 15e/15b and if something broke we had to fix no matter what the maintenance level except for depot of course, so my question if we send mechanics to AIT why should the operator have to perform any maintenance? Like I said if a bird breaks the mechanic must fix it, regardless if it’s -10 or higher...

This is covered in AR 750-1 if it's not in your 10 manual, you aren't allowed to perform maintenance see the MAC chart (in the mechanic's manual or IETM). Assisting the mechanics as a helper and performing maintenance under their tutelage is one of the crew responsibilities.

Facial hair regulation, and the apft run. When do you ever run 2 miles in combat straight???

I think the reasoning behind the run is to test physical conditioning and endurance. The Marine Corps requires a timed, 3 mile run and that is the reason behind that PFT requirement.

Here is my thought.
I would completely change the standard and procedure on how BN and BDE UTBs are conducted. Commanders and 1SGs/Detachment Sergeants spend countless days and hours getting the slide deck updated with all the required information and send it up to highers. Then, all of those Command Teams are brought into one location and get to watch each and every Command Team get ripped apart at the smallest detail. Sure, there are some that their info is locked tight and no concerns or questions are brought up, but those other Command Teams that have issues and concerns and areas that are RED, are nit-picked apart by someone in front of their peers. To me, that is rather embarrassing and not necessary. And, when I was a Preventive Medicine Detachment Sergeant, would I really need to sit there and hear why a COSC has 4 Non DMOSQ or 15 Non Pars? Do I really need to sit and hear about a Med Log company from a different BN within the BDE explain their issues of downed generators and what their fix it plan is? The BN and/or BDE Staff already have the info sent up. The slide decks are created for the BN/BDE Commander. Do we really need to spend the money to bring everyone together so we can be ripped and then told to redo the slide deck and re-submit?

Hands in pockets. I fail to see how jamming your hands to down your pants and grabbing your nuts for warmth is somehow more professional than using pockets like lawyers and doctors do all the time.
