I actually have made a resolution to give up fast food. I would like to lose some weight and feel cutting that out would help me a lot towards my goals.

If I could magically stick to my New Years resolution, I would choose to be able to stick with a low-carb/keto lifestyle. I believe that if I can do this, I will not only loose weight (very much needed), but drop my A1C (glucose level) to below diabetic levels and keep it there.
Volunteer as a tutor for local kids. Most live below the poverty level and their parents work multiple jobs and can’t help with homework. I’d like to also help with SAT prep.

I would wait the 8-15 months to get a service dog. It would mean that I could start to live with my PTSD and hopefully the nightmares would stop

I would like to learn to play a Ukele and also to speak another language.
Playing the Ukele has always been something I have wanted to do as I have a great love for Uke Music....and as far as learning a new language...learning something new would teach/show my children and my grandchildren that you are never too "old" learn something new. I also think that it will continue to sharpen me cognitively! LOL!

Lose weight and get in better shape. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma a few years back and due to the maintenance chemo and steroids I put on a lot of weight.

During 2022, the focus will be on both mental and physical health. Having balance in both realms is important for both myself and my family. Being able bodied to care for them and myself is of the utmost importance and at the forefront of everything else to follow. Having them as a support system is critical to my own well-being, but by being an example of balance both in mind and body, it will set the tone for them to follow. If our health is a priority, then stress and anxiety can be better managed, as well as putting other health issues at bay. Lowering stress is paramount to living our best lives. As the saying goes, "You can't give from an empty cup". By being our best selves, we can truly be available for ourselves, our family and our community.

Making this a “yes” year and expanding my comfort zone, have more fun and live a healthier (mentally and physically) year through that “yes.” Why? Because there have been far too many “no-s” and I do not want to have regrets as I get older.

To be more organized, live more purposefully, and concentrate more on others. Why? It would make the most impact, reducing stress in my life and also fulfilling the goal of our existence, be here for others.

If I could stick to my New Years Resolution and see it thru, it would be for me to have open communication with family and friends.
Since leaving service in 2016, I’ve found that my communication with those close to me has fallen off. Sometime I could go a 9 months to about a year without communicating with family and friends outside of my home. It’s a sad thing now that I think about it.

thats the same for me. I don't go around my family unless they call. I'm more comfortable with my work family and Marine family than I am blood family

I would set goals. How to improve my health, being 68 going onto 70+. I started last year in toning my body. Planking and working with weights. I also have looked at my Life Insurance. Adding a carrier of of eldercare. Of course staying financial strong, reviewing our investments. Having a great financial advisor is very beneficial.
