While I have nothing but pride in the Army MOS's I held if I had to do it all over again though I wouldn't mind going Coast Guard Gunners Mate.

68W all the way. We some of the cockiest around but for good reason. And despite that fact, we’re still very much loved and highly respected.

I would choose exactly same thing that my career path took me. I would be a 33T/35T which I was for 22 years until I retired 2 years ago and the best rank was when I was a 1SG for 5 different companies and having the chance to take care of all the Soldiers and families and equipment and getting all the missions done

I would have picked the Air Force in any event but wish i hadn't passed up some opportunities I had along the way to become a commissioned officer. I did have Officers and NCOs in My unit that did try to get Me pursue that avenue but when you are younger sometimes You think You know more than You actually do. I did appreciate their interest and did consider that and they did try to encourage Me and told Me I'd make a good Officer. looking back though I still did have a good career.

I was a recreation specialist in the Air Force (e-4)(1966-1970) and joined the Maryland Army National Guard (1976-1979) as an admin specialist (71L40) and became a recruiter (00E). Loved being a recruiter. Being able to guide and sometimes change a young persons life was very rewarding.

Ok I got to ask......what in the world is a recreation specialist? Sort sounds like our corpsman popping us in the butt with a BIG shot of penicillin after you get back from R&R in 1969, lololol Or maybe the officer telling us all about the bad things we could catch before we went on R&R !!! Yep, that has to be a "recreation specialist", roflmao. Is that a real mos???
