If you had the opportunity to share a meal, spend one hour to talk with someone, who would that be?

If I could, it would be with my Dad. I don't know what I would talk about in my one hour, but I sure do miss him.
SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth
I'm with you on this. I would tell my dad about his great-grandson, and how smart he is.

It would be one of two men; my father or my grandfather. I'd ask my dad why didn't he tell us what he was going through? Why did I have to go through it myself before he opened up and told me? For my grandfather, I'd just want to hear his voice and see him smile.

For me it would be Doc, our corpsmen in Vietnam who died trying to get to us to render aid. We made eye to eye contact just before he was shot. I just want to say I'm sorry!

Capt Mark Strobl - the Corpsmen that served with me in Vietnam were some of the bravest individuals I know. They may have been Navy, but to us Marines they were Marines! Semper Fi!

Sgt, I don't think Doc wants your tears, an apology, or anything else from you. He died doing what he was asked to do. He saved lives, and no award will equate to what he did. You're HERE, so to pay him back, you should live. Those are what I was told in therapy. They died so we can live. Maybe that's another reason why I don't like people thanking me for my service. I'm here...over 6000 of my brothers and sisters aren't. THEY should be thanked.
