If you had unlimited resources with man pack weapons but only 5 minutes to prepare, you grab what?

No right choice just a thought process. Mine = all the AT4s I can carry in 4 min to pos.

Clue: read again without assumptions, tick tock 3 min left now. That's the point. Unknown enemy unknown size any direction, point or area fire weapons?, dual 60s?, emphasis on word "you", and you are all alone. Since your lone operator, crew served are only a backup armory. Maybe a suitcase nuke but you'd have to be a fast runner, and run which direction etc.

That will work. Grab a long gun, pistol and ammo and evac pos. Or stand in place depending on commitment level. Enemy size, location, composition and routes of approach were unknowns. Just impending attack with 5 minutes prep. Unfair question since I knew more in my head than the reader, just a drill. Thanks.

A handgun, a rifle, ammo, and a compass, anything else, I could get from somewhere else, or the dead enemy.

Traveling light fighter.+ Try to pass through lines covert, and then amf'ers. Good answer.

CWO3 (Join to see) - It comes from my LRRP times, no sleep for 3 days and nights, and when on the third night in water up to your chest, we were told that we had 15 minutes to sleep. Lol
Back to back, you at lease get some rest without falling over and drowning. Lol
By the way, my compass was my most valued item in the LRRP team, as well as when I was in Panama in the jungles.

SGT Carl Blas - I've read about them. Some went out for even longer to stake out gaps and gain intel. Not supposed to fire unless engaged to preserve concealment.

An M4 SOPMOD Block II and a SADM - should be able to adjust most attitudes as mission requires with just the two. Not knowing more - I'll always opt for a hammer but grab a big f'ing hammer just in case.

Yes, that kind of boom should slow most if not stop any advancing ground forces. Not knowing infil/exfil if it becomes an anchor - get coordinate and bury it - retrieve it later if needed. With a M4 and comms I should be able to get a fastmover or FA on target if its a large objective, if its more HVT or rescue I'll need some assistance on the ground - QRF - as I feel exfil will get a bit more complicated.

SPC David S. - Good plan flow. One question. What's the Delta on blast radius vs how far you can run in the time left after hitting the switch? 5 minutes available. I've never been close to more than one ton of grade IV belted ball and mostly line charge bags. Rocked the shack good at 29 Palms.

Well that is the big concern with that king of munition. The GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB of the mother of all bombs) is the equivalent of 11 tons of TNT and has a blast radius of a mile wide so I assume with the SADM its roughly the same making it a half mile from ground zero. However any contact while exfil'ing could make a 10 minute mile pace difficult. As well there is the fallout concern - this sucker will make a big radioactive cloud. I can only assume the affects but one minute of exposure I feel confident in saying would not be good to one's health. The big question is - do you stay to secure an armed nuke?
Biggest thud I ever experienced was when we got a new Chaplain for our BN. He wanted to see what FA was all about - so I volunteered to take him out to the range to get a taste of inbound/incoming. I called in a suppression TOT (time on target - all rounds impact more or less at the same time, +3 seconds, and off the ground) for our BN. It was at night so a very impressive site.

Short answer: run like a jackrabbit and kill anything in your path. If you die cremation will be provided.

Sooner or later, you run out of expendables (ammo). With no further information I'll take:
1 Combination Bearded Axe and Adze, wooden handle
1 Combination Bearded Hatchet and Adze, wooden handle
1 USM3 Fighting knife
1 Medium Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone
1 Fine Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone
1 Combination Stone Mason's Hammer and Chisel, wooden handle
1 War Hammer (a real one, not some Hollywood dragon killing weird piece of crap)
1 Crossbow capable of firing wooden fire hardened bolts
1 Map of naturally occurring flint or obsidian

Back to the basics of survival, novel approach. That's why your the Field Grade, thinking strategic as well as operational/tactical. With so little given it's a drill to decide. Foxfire style works too. Stage it all in a sea bag or strapped on war gear, and go native. Nomadic almost.

Great question. What's the threat?
Let's say I'm behind enemy lines, surrounded by committed radicals: I'm thinking a high-yield, clearly visible vest made of C-4 shrouded in ball bearings on a dead-man switch. Heck-maybe I could walk all the way to Mecca and back.
If I'm going solo into bad-guy land to meet someone...I'll take my Orerla blade, a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 folding carbine and a dozen mags of .40 paired with a Level III concealable vest.
Joining a stick of dudes going in to snag a "high value target"? I'll take the suppressed Mk 18 with no less 125-140 rounds, IR laser, my Glock 22 with no less than 75 rounds, JPC with ceramics, nods, high-cut Kevlar, PC hydro-pack, and my Boker Applegate "just in case".
Running on my own from the bad-uns in the bush? I'll take my Mk 12 with plenty of ammo, my Glock, Kryptex Highlander, 3-day pack, and my stag handle Damascus Bowie.
Raptors? Heck, if it's Raptors, I'll offer to buy some Apache pilot all the hooch he can stand, and ride front seat with the M230.

CWO3 (Join to see) - The FO, and recon units would give the FDC coordinates for out reference points. The map terrain gave me good ideas for references points too, and I would ask the recon unit to spot it for me.

CWO3 (Join to see) - The best that I liked was, the pit crew sometimes would let me hang the rounds, it was fun writing on the rounds, "Have a nice day". Lol

Good plan. More bang for the buck with bourbon. A fifth and a carton in ass pack, grab your guns and get gone.

My (very quiet) Ruger 10/22 rifle with 2000 rds of ammo and any non-perishable food available. A good pair of boots, thermal underwear and rain gear. Stash my AR in a good hiding place with 1000 rds for later. My trusty Taurus 9mm on my side and all the water I can carry.
