When I had my original knee injury I'd have bitched moaned and fought to get to an Arthropod. Everything else, I can live with w/o regrets.

That damn "Magic Bullet" all of you like to use on your negative counselings.....I would've trademarked and copyrighted it!!! All of you would be paying me for all of my mistakes as you correct your Soldiers in theirs.

I probably wouldn't have gotten out the first time and went reserve. I'd have stayed straight through and went back to sea, again.

I still would have enlisted, but actually finished the correspondence courses I started and maybe not gotten married.

I would not have joined, and I would have deterred as many as I could to not join also.

It wasn't so much about my expectations, as it was the culture and what happened to me.
It went in in 1990, and was stationed on ship where the "old timers" were against females being on ship.

Still sounds like you have something to be proud of, at the minimum your service. Otherwise why would you even be on this site?
