If you're working as an MP, and you fall under DES (DoD police), and they issue you a police badge, can you wear that on your uniform?

Just questioning, I cannot find anything in the DPAM about it. It's an issued Department of the Army police badge that every person here recieves and DoD wears.

If it's on your ERB then yes. If not, then I wouldn't wear it. I wouldn't want to add more shit to my uniform while working the road anyways.

I know in the USAF Security Forces we were issued a numbered badge but I agree with most of the threads where you can only wear on Class A's and Formal coat's.

Can't tell you about the Army but my Badge as Master at Arms Commander Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command was part of my Uniform. I did have to do a slight modification to it so I didn't Puncture my Jumper Top, Used the Clip for a Security Id and Clipped it over my Pocket. Still remember my Badge # Naval District Washington, DC Badge #9. Always wore it while acting as Writer for a Admirals Inspection and Presenting an Article 15 to the Chief of Staff.

Local commanders can make temporary as needed changes but can't substitute one authorized identifying uniform for another. There is an authorized MP badge and it is no longer part of the uniform. The brassard identifies MPs on duty. There are other decorations that identify MPs off duty just like Infantry and Medics.

as of July 2015 the MP Badge is once again authorized for wear at the Provost Marshal's or Commanders discretion by 670-1

I know when I went to road patrol at Ftf. Wainwright we were issued Badges and our 45’s at the same time.
