If you received separation pay, and later retired from the Army Reserves or AGR, what is the percent do they recoup?

Really. YES!! It depended. My wife got out of the Army at 13 years. Voluntary Seperstion Incentive (VSI). She later joined the Public Health Service, one of the seven uniformed services, not part of DOD but Health And Human Services. They already told her, and some of her friends, have had the money recouped. So, even thought she didn’t go back to DOD they track you down. But seperation pay - it depends on what kind of seperation pay you received. For example, if you received medical seperation pay the VA will withhold your benefits for the seperation pay received. All recoupment is dollar for dollar on the after taxes pay you received.
