If you saw one of your Joes doing this, how would you react?

I went to basic with this SM and saw on his Facebook that he went to Prom in his ACU's. How would you go about mentoring one of your subordinates that are in violation of AR670-1?
AR670-1 Chapter 4 Section 3 Line 2... That's what I found in the reg, please attach anything else you find
**EDIT** This is not a Dance, but it is some Formal assembly and to the best of my knowledge he is not on Duty.. Class A's would of been appropriate (as long as it's in regs, which I'm sure isn't hard since he would only have 1 ribbon)

I recommend telling the soldier that this is not appropriate and to remove the picture unless he wants to risk someone else seeing it and showing it to someone who will destroy his life over it (1SG). I would also like to recommend this soldier be re-trained on the proper position of attention as well as the position of parade rest. This could be a good 4 hour training or however long it takes to sink in. Perhaps some situational awareness training wouldn't hurt either. The three other males in this photo got it right. Please square your fellow guardians of freedom away.

With out know the cercimstances I can't judge but I can say he's not in rotc they don't get acu they only get dress uniform and it looks like he fresh from ait or basic training he could be one that went to basic between joinur and senior year so he may not know the rules!

For the simple fact that there are no patches on his shoulder would possible imply to me that he is in JROTC.

Using 'would have' instead of 'would of' would have been appropriate, also.

This is the picture of homecoming King and Queen candidates after the football game. You always see military members at sporting events in ACUs. Thers is nothing wrong with a weekend warrior still in high school pretending to be hard

You're assuming an awful lot. I do have to ask. Why ruin good troops? Are you really contributing to the good order and discipline?
