If you were given the authority to create your own "Rule of Engagement" to pass down to your Company, Platoon, or Squad, what would you say?

I would hope I would use good, common sense based on the situation. But if in a really hostile environment, I am afraid I would revert back to my training by the "Company Gunny" who preached only one thing. "Shoot em' all and let God sort out the good from the bad." God bless Gunnery Sergeants all.
