Am not advocating a military coup so don't shoot the messenger. That said, our government is clearly not listening to the people that elected it, and we have a Constitutional crisis on our hands. The Federal Gov't is trying to import people it can't screen which puts Americans at risk. The Governors of at least 30 States are rejecting the refugees this Administration is trying to bring in against the popular will of the people. We have seen what is going on in Europe and retired Generals are starting to talk about removing our Commander in Chief. Do you agree with them?

NOTE: This is directed at V, R, and C, and SM are advised to NOT COMMENT on this discussion.

Capt Jeff S. As my oath requires I would defend the POTUS and constitution whether I personally liked or agreed with him. My duty and my honor come first.

Just playing Devil's advocate Sir... So with that said:

Even if the President was never properly vetted for the office he holds, and used judges he appointed to throw out every case questioning his eligibility? And intentionally violated the law when he released 5 Taliban officers in exchange for a deserter? And pushed his own agenda putting the nation at risk by not enforcing federal immigration law, and importing refugees that can't be screened for their backgrounds... ???

I respect that kind of loyalty Sir. I just think it is blind loyalty. People were just as divided on what to do when we had the Civil War.

Which priority would it be? One man even if he is the President or the Constitution, what would come first. I would have to vote the Constitution for a nation of 300 million. Obama said he was going to change America and he did. Now the question was it a good change and I say no.

The Militaries sworn to protect the constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. Despite my serious dislike for the guy, his inability to lead or even do his job is disturbing, spends more time golfing then doing his job, hell the economy is doing sooooo poor under him Mexican Immigrants with american born children ARE LEAVING the USA, Wonderful job Mr.Obama hell i think if you had read Sun Tzu you might understand how to lead even form strategies when it comes to war. But despite that its not the militaries job to remove POTUS no matter how inept, moronic and over confident in his own abilities he may be

Congress is falling down on its job. If they had PROPERLY vetted Obama, they we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Ok look this has to be the dumbest idea. One, the military is not here to act upon such an order no matter who gives it. Two, why would you want him gone? Do you think it would actually make it better or would it create our own vacuum with the loss of power at the top? Do you not realize the chaos, if that happened with everything that is going on, it would create ALL over the world? Lastly, you are not sitting in his chair behind his desk in his office? Do you think, with your current knowledge, that you could sit in his place & know exactly what to do? I don't really particularly care for this current president but it is important to remain objective!!!!!

I think that this country wouldn't skip a beat and would do just fine without him. We would make do. If Biden were to take over, we'd just ride him out. If Ryan got in, we might get a real working budget passed.

I am abstaining from this vote. The constitution has not been violated. I would also like to add that refugees currently are going through an 18-24 month vetting process. I would think that keeping our country safe is and has been POTUS's priority. I think it's shameful and not part of America's values to turn away people seeking asylum. These people are currently going through a process of background checks to assure that they are not threats to our safety.

Unfortunately they espouse a "political system masquerading as a religion" that seeks to dominate all other nations and bring them under its dominion. You should check to see how Japan and China are dealing with Islam. Maybe they are being a little more realistic in recognizing the threat Islam poses to their culture.

From a hypothetical standpoint.
...if I was still active duty
...if congress started proceedings to impeach and were able to complete them before his term ended naturally.
...if he was convicted
...if the punitive phase removed him from office (twice presidents have been impeached and neither time were they evicted from office).
...if he refused to leave office even though the law had evicted him.
...if law enforcement was unable to remove him from office.

Then yes, I would die or kill to defend the constitution of the United States and the rule of law... I've already take an oath to.

LOL, he downvoted my answer about only being able to have 5 choices and not being able to please everyone. What could possibly be offensive about that?

When the Founding Fathers resisted England's tyranny, they had the support of 15% of the population. FWIW. And we can thank them every day for what they did to secure the blessings of liberty that the majority of this country does not appreciate and takes for granted.

I'm all for doing exactly as you say, but the system is so corrupt that the Courts shoot down every public investigation into the President's eligibility citing bogus reasons -- such as "lack of jurisdiction"?!! The PEOPLE have a right to have their concerns heard and the Courts REFUSE TO LISTEN! Congress REFUSES to act on solid evidence presented by Sheriff Arpaio [acting within his authority to represent the people he is tasked and sworn to represent, who believe their voting rights were compromised]. Instead of answering Arpaio's questions, the AG questioned Arpaio as to what gave him the authority to investigate the (p)Resident. The AG then brought frivolous allegations against the Sheriff and wasted all kinds of taxpayer dollars trying to silence him. To date, NOBODY! in Congress has acted on the information put together by Arpaio's team of professional forensic analysts, who volunteered their time at no cost to taxpayers, and discovered numerous inconsistencies in the documents Obama used to establish his eligibility -- 4 YEARS AFTER THE FACT!!! Still the public has been given no satisfactory explanation as to why the documents alleged to be scans of original official documents were generated on computer. What gives?

The Administration we allegedly elected (with > 100% of registered voters voting in select precincts) is bypassing Congress (OUR VOICE in government), and the FBI isn't prosecuting election fraud... WHY?!! We've had one or two token cases where the guilty parties were convicted and then had their sentences reduced to where they spent very little of their sentence in jail. After having their sentences commuted, they were released and received hero's welcomes from Democratic leaders! What is up with that?!!

I'd say we have a Constitutional crisis on our hands. If the people we elected can't do their jobs and we have no assurance that our elections are being conducted freely and fairly, THEN WHO? WHO do WE look to to represent our interest when the government we elected refuses to answer to us and instead goes about shredding OUR Constitution and forces its UNPOPULAR agenda down our throats, while exempting itself from the legislation it passed [without reading I might add], along with exempting select special interests. If it's good enough for us, then it damn well ought to be good enough for them! What recourse do we have when those we allegedly elected act to subjugate our national sovereignty to others? It's very very sad when we have to look to Egypt, which faced a similar crisis in that the government they elected stopped representing their interests and started abusing its powers, for an example of what to do to restore democracy and the rule of law when the government forgets who it is there representing...

Do we trust the election process when we have no way of verifying our touch screen votes and there is no paper trail for manual verification? Do we trust the election process when Voter ID, which is required in every 3rd world country, is shot down by a government that opens its borders to illegals, refuses to enforce Federal Immigration Law, and imports refugees in order to shift the demographics and maintain its hold on power? Do we trust the election process when the AG can't find enough evidence to prosecute election fraud -- even when we have over 100% of registered voters voting in select precincts in Swing States which have an important impact on the outcome of the election? ???

What do we do - as a last resort - to restore our government back to the vision of our Founding Fathers? I'm all for abiding by our Constitution and using the process. But what happens when that process is broke? What do you do when the built-in Constitutional safeguards (i.e., Separation of Powers), which can help ferret out corruption in a single branch of the government, can't overcome the corruption because it is spread throughout all three branches of government? I'm not advocating insurrection. I'm posing a question, one that you must answer for yourself.

It does not surprise me that many in the military and formerly in the military think that Barry has committed treason, etc.

Not that I like the president or his policies, but I would actively resist (to the point of armed force if I were confronted with it) the removal of the president by any other means than the legal one. Salute the rank, not the man...

I was in France when Clinton was President and the Monica Lewinsky affair was still news. The French Officers approached me in front of their troops chuckling and said, "Sooo, how does it feel to serve a Commander-in-Chief who can't keep his pants up?"

They thought they were going to have fun at my expense and I simply responded, "I swore an oath to obey the orders of the President of the United States* and although I didn't vote for him, as a military professional, my loyalty is to the office he represents and not the man sitting in that office."

They looked at each other and seemed satisfied with that answer. They respected it. Later they talked about how in Europe their leaders do all kinds of things but they don't air their dirty laundry publicly. They couldn't understand how our press could do that and didn't understand why we were so open about that sort of thing. Why embarrass your country publicly?

*Actually, in the Officer's Oath of Office, we are not sworn to obey the orders of the POTUS but it's understood. That is part of our duties according to the Constitution we are sworn to protect and defend.

I totally hear what you are saying, but my question has to do with what you do when the government as it was designed to operate, becomes so corrupted that the built-in checks and balances no longer work to defeat the corruption. What do you do when the system has broken down and is no longer functioning. What remedy then? Do we, who swore an oath to protect and defend our Constitution sit on our thumbs and watch it get shredded by a government that no longer represents the popular will of the people?
