I know the NG hasn't been called up in this specific situation however, if one or more "hate" groups takes advantage of the tension (eg: skinheads, or an ISIS cell) and escalates things in any city beyond the police capability to contain. A governor can, and has in the past, called up the NG.
That being said, I also believe the NG is much better trained and capable now than they were in the late 60's and early 70's.

BE MINDFUL. tensions are high, I live in the country with no neighbors for a reason. I work in the city. Hallways are being given a wide passage. Exactly the same as the Michael Brown incident. Additionally, staff is reduced due to call ins. Limited eye contacted is being presented.
