In your opinion, what is the most common violation of uniform regulations, and are you guilty of it from time to time?

Hands in pockets is noy a uniform violation. It's one of those "suggestions" from higher ups.
When I was in Lithuania I had a GySgt from a different unit who had just gotten out of the drill field. She was walking up to me and I said "Good morning Gunnery Sergeant" and she responded with "Hey Sergeant get your damn hands out of your damn pockets". A few minutes later, I saw her talking to the major .... with her hands in her pockets

Mine was having too many items in my pocket to where it "detracted from the appearance of the uniform" lol Navy NWUs come with cargo pockets on the side. I would have my wallet, phone and keys. If I did not put them in seperate pockets, I'd have one bulky pocket. This was always by accident and my NCO would just simply remind me and I'd correct it right then. No harm done.

Hands in pockets. I'm pretty bad at not doing it, because they are pockets. They are meant for hands. But pockets unbuttoned or sipped urk the hell out of me. Also name tapes that aren't on all the way or crooked.

I used a little common sense. In formation never, if transiting to/from work to you pov and cold weather I might turn blind eye.

Not a violation, but sometimes I would forget I was in civilian clothes wearing a ball cap and as soon as I got inside I would take off my hat. When I would look down at it to fold it and put in my pocket I realized it was not my uniform hat. Sometimes, I would even think damn I wore the wrong hat.

Most common that I saw was putting things in your cargo pockets. And no, I never enforced it because if the Marine Corps didn't want Marines to use them they shouldn't have given them to us. Although, most common violation for me was wearing a multi-tool on my belt.
