Is 25D AIT a TDY and return? At what point will I receive follow on orders?

Don’t know if they changed it or not but used to be TDY enroute and you received your follow on orders once you received your orders to school.

The TDY status will depend on how your orders are written. I was TDY in return, but was only at my losing station for about 2 months. Out of all of my classmates I think only 1 was TDY enroute.

25D is 14 weeks so it will be TDY enroute. 90 days prior to your class start date you should receive your follow on assignment. At the levy brief you will decide how you will PCS. Typically, the easiest thing is to choose to return to your duty station to clear and then PCS with your family. So, it would be TDY Enroute with return to home station authorized.

Thanks for the information. I still am slotted for February. My erb and ASK are showing projected assignment to Korea somehow already so I am trying to figure out when I’m getting orders and how I will get my family over there and all that good stuff. Thanks again for the replies.

I am in the course now and I am TDY enroute however, we have some personnel here that are TDY in return. So it can be either or but most are enroute
