Is anyone able to help me get a good estimate of how much I will be receiving for travel pay and a PPM?

My wife and I just PCS’d from Fort Gordon to Fort Huachuca. This is our first PCS, but I am unsure of how everything is calculated.

If you did your move correctly then you logged onto move.mil and arranged your move through the site, which has a PPM calculator, then sat with a counselor who would have verified the amount and you would have signed a statement about the amount you're authorized.
Either the document is in your files, or you just made an extremely costly mistake.

Absolutely true, but the weight of their HHGs is a variable which would affect the overall payout upon arrival their new PDS, correct?

1SG (Join to see) yes but their is a tool that gives an accurate estimate that the counselor reviews with you. They cover the weight and thre amount of the payout

I was in way back when, but you should receive X amount of dollars per day as a per diem for travel. Once you get there, you'll complete a travel type log with Division Finance and at that point receive your reimbursement. Most of the time you have the option to take advance pay for travel, which would equate Per Diem reimbursement. I hope I'm not too far off. Good Luck! If you need housing I can offer you a VA home loan with incredibly low rates. Rich, [login to see] give me a jingle when you get in.
