Caitlyn Jenner, 65, will be awarded the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY event in Los Angeles on July 15. But some criticized the decision, saying that Lauren Hill, the 19-year-old basketball star who died of cancer in April, should have won instead. There were also rumors that Jenner had been named as the winner ahead of wounded war vet Noah Galloway, who was a runner up. ESPN denied there was a runner up and said it was proud to honor Jenner for starting 'a constructive dialogue about progress and acceptance.'

I am seeing this more and more. I think society is redefining what is a hero and a champion. I think Caitlyn may be a champion in transgender rights but to me I don't see that as a hero. I shocked that Lauren Hill who played basketball while battling cancer, who died, didn't win. Knowing you are going to die and still play the game is what I call courageous. Would has it that a wounded warrior also lost out. I can't recall the last Bruce was involved in any sport event or how Caitlyn is an athlete. She even won anything or played a sport.

It boggles my mind as to how we can call Bruce Jenner a hero for putting on a dress and high heels and plaster his face all over television and not recognizing the real heros how lost a limb or even their life for this country. Makes no sense! Is this country ass backwards or what?
