Officials say the 19,000-square-foot facility will improve access, quality and cost effectiveness of health care for veterans living in and near the Columbus area. Services at the clinic include dietary, social work, clinical pharmacy and laboratory services.
Officials say veterans will also get access to 18 specialty clinics at the new Martin Army Community Hospital with a referral from their primary care physician.

This is good. I work for MACH and the surge in numbers would absolutely help the hospital and our ability to continue to provide pretty great patient care for the most part.
Plus I enjoy when the old crusty WWII and Veitnam vet CSM comes in and starts teaching the privates lolly gaggin around a thing or two. Pretty great spectacle.

They took vacated space that was the old Martin Army Hospital, and converted it to the VA facility. Should have been very little in cost, since there was no new construction and Martin Army didn't transfer much of the old equipment to the new facility when they moved last fall. Probably one of the smarter moves by the DA and VA in caring for Vets.
